6 months

Our sweet baby girl, you bring such happiness to our lives!  I can not believe that you are already 6 months old.  Your personality continues to show itself every day.  You are a very happy baby, unless you want or need something, then you quickly let us know!  Now that you have perfected sitting on your own, you have started playing independently.  You love playing in your exersaucer in the evenings while I make dinner and we wait for Daddy to get home.  Your biggest milestone this month was starting solid foods!  You did pretty well the first night, but weren't such a fan of rice cereal the next couple of days.  Things turned around again once we added sweet potatoes to your repertoire.  You now eat rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, and green beans (though they aren't your favorite).  I usually have to hide your green beans in your sweet potatoes to get you to eat them!  You still love to play with your feet, and are starting to curl yourself up as if you want to sit up when you can't see something that you want to.  You are also days away from rolling over back to front.  If you put a toy or your pluggie off to the side, you will try your hardest to get to it.  This is exciting, but sad for me.  It means you aren't so little anymore and I want to stop this clock that is racing by.  But it means that you are getting bigger, and more independent, and I love the sweet, happy girl that you are turning into.  You still do not sleep through the night (you can start that anytime, my precious girl!), no matter what method we try, you aren't having it.  I suppose I will look back on these few sleepless months and yearn for them at some time.  You are just starting to get some stranger anxiety, especially if you can't see Mommy or Daddy (or Amber) when you are around someone you don't know.  You still scream bloody murder when you are adjusted by Dr. Walker.  You still love being outside, and we got a jogging stroller this month, so now you love going on runs with Mommy and Daddy.  You continue to make our days so much brighter.  We are entering into the Christmas season now, and I can't wait to watch you take it all in!  We love you so much sweet girl!
