Helping Daddy get the new play set to our house for Grandad!
Peekaboo - where's Lilly?
Look at me - I'm in a tree!
Flying like Tinkerbell!
Someone was excited about the Pacers win!
I'm big!
Evelyn helping us try out some new patio furniture
(This is the style we settled on...just different colors!)
Big girl eater's first day on just solid foods..she ate 3/4 of a banana and an entire waffle!
Just hanging out in my rocking chair
And learning how to rock!
Learning to shoot some hoops!
I had to pull this out...this was Evelyn when she first played with the same toy...
Lillian trying to figure out her new scooter/walker
Didn't take long for this monkey to figure out how to climb UP her slide!
Lillian loves drinking from these water bottles
Lillan enjoying some mac & cheese
And an apple...
Dan and I ran in a marathon relay here in town with some people from our church - the traffic wasn't nearly as bad as we were expecting, and I didn't have time to finish my coffee. We have too many sippy cups as it is...desperate times call for desperate measures.
I had to post these...our nephew Ben drew and colored them for Evelyn for her birthday. I'm totally impressed. She's had them on her wall since Grammie & Grandad brought them down for her.
Lillian enjoying a banana (yes, she eats... a lot.)
Evelyn enjoying some coffee with Mommy - she loves coffee. One morning she told me, "I coughed. I need some coffee."
Sleeping girl...
Daddys always come up with the best ideas
Sweet sleeping baby girl
I love this picture...
Lilly shooting some hoops
Evelyn told Dan, "Come on! Let's go see the little Lord Jesus!" Then took him to a spot on the grass and kneeled down! She's got a "shepherd" stick in her hand and started singing "Away in a Manger"
Now that I am off for the summer (and by off, I mean teaching online until July), we have regularly been getting together with some of Evelyn's friends from school. Here are some pictures from some of our play dates!
Evelyn and Taylor - having some snacks after playing in our yard
Evelyn, Taylor, and Kendal at the aquarium
Kendal, Taylor, and Evelyn checking out the dolphins at the aquarium
(it's crazy to see how small she still is around her peers - because she's looking so much bigger to us!)
Lilly enjoying the dolphins as well
Looking forward to many more play dates with these cuties and their moms!
We had a great Memorial Day weekend. We started up heading up to Portland for a cookout at Amber (the girls' nanny) and Stephen's house. Stephen is a youth pastor, so they had their kids, along with some friends and family over.
Just eating some lunch
Are you comfortable, Lilly?
Amber and Stephen filled up 300 water balloons for some fun (they planned on playing some volleyball type games...but the volleyball net we gave to them wouldn't set up - sorry, we fail!)
Evelyn was right in the middle of it all - no fear!
Got some balloons!
And of course playing in the mud when we're done!
After the cookout, we took the girls to the pool in Portland - it's the best pool in our area and has great slides and zero depth.
Dan's parents came to visit for about 5 days. They drove down in their RV, and transported a dollhouse that they had made for the girls. We had to hide it in the garage for the first night, but it's been a highlight in our house ever since they saw it!
Casa de Gaines
They put together a story showing pictures of them making the house and bringing it to the two princesses, Evelyn and Lillian
Evelyn's first look
Lillian likes it, too!
Mommy's favorite room in the dollhouse
We took them to the duck park here in town to feed the ducks and birds
Love this picture!
Lillian got to swing with Grandpa

This was my attempt at being crafty for Becky's Mother's Day gift
(each row of charms is a month, with birthdays and anniversaries listed on them)
